Prioritizing Employee Safety
Whether you are in need of workplace prevention or baseline testing, we’re able to provide your adult employees with immunizations and titers. When you get an immunization (vaccine), you are injected with a weakened form of a disease which triggers the body's immune system and encourages it to produce antibodies to that illness or to create a sense of immunity. A sample of some of the adult immunizations we offer include:
- Hepatitis B
- Tetanus/Diphtheria (TD)
- Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis. (Tdap)
A titer test is a laboratory blood test that checks for the presence of antibodies in the blood stream. When testing for titers, healthcare workers will draw blood from a patient and test it in a lab.
A titer test can check for a variety of diseases:
- Hepatitis B antibody
If the results of a titer test show a low immunity level, it usually means that the person needs a vaccination or booster to save them from becoming a carrier or becoming infected. A titer test can serve as a prerequisite before vaccinations or boosters. The test shows which employees have the right levels of immunity from previous vaccinations. A titer test can help determine who is in need of protection.
